Air-Britain will be returning to the North Weald Airfield (EGSX), on the weekend of 30 June - 1 July for our 39th annual Fly-In. See www.air-britain.com/flyin-about.html for details.
Each year we invite owners to join us whose aircraft have particular milestone or an anniversary. This year is Air-Britain’s 70th anniversary, so we would like to by gather as many aircraft together as possible that were manufactured in 1948 to mark not only Air-Britain’s but the aircraft’s own 70th anniversary. We would also like to welcome any pilot celebrating their 70th birthday in 2018, so if you know of any please extend this invite to them.
Whilst we particularly like to welcome owners and operators of those invited aircraft, we are always pleased to welcome any aircraft and its occupants, so please extend this invitation to your aviation friends. There will be no landing fees for all visiting aircraft throughout the weekend and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
As usual, we will be offering our traditional friendly hospitality for both days and a number of awards will be given to visiting aircraft on the Saturday. Catering and overnight facilities will be available for those wishing to camp with us for the weekend. The website www.air-britain.com/flyin-hotels.html has details of local hotels and accommodation if required.
Our annual Fly-In has established a reputation for being a friendly event that brings together pilots, enthusiasts and historians to exchange experiences and knowledge in a relaxed social atmosphere. We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us. Finally, I would be grateful if you could find space on your airfield’s notice board for the enclosed poster.
For further details please see our website www.air-britain.com/web/flyin/ or email Fly-In Director: Phil.Kemp@air-britain.co.uk
I hope you can join us in June.
