Registering for the Air-Britain Message Board
The Air-Britain message board is hosted by ProBoards and we follow their set-up to register new people onto the Message Board.
Note that the ability to register and post is only open to current Air-Britain members. It is important that you can be identified as a member through your name (see step 3) or e-mail address. All applications will be checked against the current membership. If we cannot find a match we will contact you for further clarification.
1. To register click on Register on the right-hand side of the header bar.
2. You will be prompted for a valid e-mail address. Enter this and press Continue.
3. You will then be asked for a password and some further details.
a. The password is not connected to any other Air-Britain area – you can choose any password as long as it is at least 6 characters long.
b. Your name should match the name in your Air-Britain membership.
c. The details on age and gender are purely for registration and will not be used elsewhere.
4. You will then be asked to enter a User Name for the forum – within the forum parameters please choose a user name that helps identify you to other users.
It is important you remember your User Name as this is used to log in to the forum.
Tick the agreement to the Terms of Service and Continue
5. Tick the box on the next screen to prove you are not a robot (unless, of course, you are!) and Submit.
6. Your application will then be sent to the Administration team to verify your Air-Britain membership. We will try to respond within 24 hours, but please recognise that sometimes other events may mean this takes slightly longer.
7. Once your membership of the forum has been approved, you will receive an e-mail to that effect. You will also receive a separate e-mail with a verification code.
Log In on the main the home screen – you will then be prompted for your User Name and Password (as set up in the Registration process). Once you enter these you will also be asked for your verification code. This only happens on your first log-in. After that you will only need to remember your User Name and Password.
8. Enjoy the forum / message board. Members can post on any aviation-related subject. Most of the areas are open to view by non-members as well. The only area visible only to Members is the Air-Britain Operations board, which can be used to discuss matters relating to the running and organisation of Air-Britain.
