On Tuesday 1st May 2018 Stansted Branch will be welcoming Squadron Leader James Cowan Ret’d who will be presenting an illustrated talk on
“Chipmunks around the World”.
Our speaker is author of the book “Chipmunks Around the World: Royal Air Force Expeditionary Flight” which records the circumnavigation of the northern hemisphere across Russia, North America and the North Atlantic using two Royal Air Force de Havilland DHC 1 Chipmunk aircraft, one of which he piloted. This remarkable flight lasted 64 days and covered over 16,000 miles.
As always our meeting commences at 8:15pm
