Pleased to see any thoughts at all!. People buy books to read/study, I was deeply disappointed with the Miles #3 book, pages of editorial whining & then the pictures kind of hidden on a CD. The book could have been reduced by a third. There does need to be some thought by the team + BPC. I'm not so sure that 'two' books is the answer as likely only one will sell to different faction. Obviously with the declining number of spotters our sales potential is reducing & we must avoid duplicating the costs. I had hoped that amendments would feature on one of our websites but folk seem to be reluctant to add. In the 1960/70s books we used to print a leaflet of amendments, costs would not permit that nowadays. Ian3430Callier

Ian
As part of the cleaning up of files on the website(s) we will be looking at publishing amendments and updates - the key is ensuring they are valid updates and not just repeating what is commonly accepted because of an error in one place being repeated so often that it becomes "fact".

They are both still in preparation and are being actively worked on, but due to the amount of data to be checked and updated, no firm dates yet.

Have just read the various posts concerning the Production Lists trilogy of publications. I obviously have the Airbus and Boeing publications and await the final tomb 'Other Manufacturers' to complete the re-housing of all my sightings from the now very shabby original Jet Airliners of the World 1949 - 2007. The posts advised that although there had been delays, it was hoped that publication may have been in 2021 but as we are at the end of this year can i enquire as to the current situation. It is still being worked on, so watch this space for actual publication dates. We were optimistic with our planning, but do hope for its arrival next year.

Many thanks for the timely update and do fully appreciate the difficulties that Covid has bought to all of our lives over the last 20 months. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the Air Britain family.

Any news on when "Jet Airliners of the World - other manufacturers" and "Turboprop Airliners of the World" will be available to purchase, as last notification from your good selves indicated that they could be available by the end of 2021 ! ? Also, are there any plans to update the Boeing and Airbus production books, as these are fast becoming out of date again ! ? Thanks

As with most things relating to Air-Britain, we depend on volunteers to prepare these books. While they are still included in our publishing plans, at this time we cannot promise a date when they will be published.
