Aviation World 2022 – Ideas & Authors Wanted
Part of the content of Air-Britain’s house magazine concerns itself with anniversaries. The list below is offered in the hope that it will prompt both regular and new authors to submit articles for publication during the coming year.
Articles are not required to be book-length studies in minute detail, and may manoeuvre around the point. For example, the A-9 and A-10 anniversaries might be combined with a study of the art of jet-powered tank-busting, bringing in the Sukhoi Frogfoot. The F-86 anniversary could be marked by a little-known anecdote, or a list of flyable survivors. The Hughes H-4 is listed as a challenge to come up with something new to say on the subject!
This list does not constitute a publishing plan; other articles which potential authors find interesting are, probably, of interest to the readership, too—irrespective of their date of origin. They are also most welcome.
Don’t forget themed titles such as Whatever Happened To . . .; Fake Views; and A Grand Day Out. Or that 1922 was a busy year for helicopter development (Berliner, Bossoutrot, Oehmichen, Cierva [hinged blades], Bothezat, Pescara).
