With thanks to a post by Matti Salonen on the Luftwaffe Research Group, the fate of c/n 3171 (an ex Danish machine taken over by the Luftwaffe) is known:
"07.07.1944, FFDSA10, D.H.TigerMoth, 3171, GM+RU, Südöstlich Wasserseite Fl.Pl. Parow Flugschüler Gefr Filipiak, Helmuth, verletzt Beobachter Oblt Dässler, Hermann, + Absturz auf See infolge Bedienungsfehler. Bruch 100 %. Dässler Leiter d.Nav.Gruppe."
This will have come from Luftwaffe loss documentation.
