I am pleased to announce that our 43rd annual Fly-In will be held at White Waltham Airfield, near Maidenhead over the weekend of 17--18 June, in partnership with the West London Aero Club (WLAC). In this Air-Britain's 75th anniversary year would like to have at least 75 visiting aircraft each day and will be inviting aircraft built in 1948 to join us. In addition The Cessna 170 first flew in 1948 so those will be invited to join us too. As always all aircraft and their pilots/crews will be most welcome to join us. For pilots PPR bookings will be required and these can be made through WLAC. As always there will be the usual warm Air-Britain welcome, with trade stands and hospitality available all day. Please note there is NO flying display. Payment on the gate is £5.00 per person and children under 12 are free. Such events depend heavily on having sufficient volunteers to help and if you would be willing to help, please get in touch with me. Further details will be updated periodically as we approach the event, as will our website (https://air-britain.com/web/flyin/) with the latest information. Update for the 2023 Fly-In
On both days the resident (unique 2-seat) Hawker Hurricane IIB will be on display. It is due to fly on the Sunday morning, so you will be able to see this iconic aircraft up close and in its true element. Thanks to Hurricane Heritage (www.hurricaneheritage.com/) for their support.
The Blackbush Heritage Trust (www.blackbusheheritagetrust.com/) will be joining where you will be able see and talk to the team about their plans and work in bring a Vickers Viking back to the UK.
As always we need volunteers to help over the weekend and so if would be willing to help, please get in touch with me.

David, We were at Turweston in 2019 & 2021 and have in the past been at Coventry and Wellesbourne.
It can of course be held "north of Watford" if you can:-
a) find an airfield with sufficient space for up to 70+ visiting aircraft, car parking space for potentially circa 300+ cars and its security and health & safety constraints are within acceptable levels; b) put a team of volunteers together to support the set up, during and clear up after the event; c) it remains with the budget parameters set by the Trustees; and d) someone take on the leadership role. After 21 years of giving up a considerable amount of time and effort spread over 8 months each year I would be happy to get my life back.
I look forward to hearing of any serious proposals. Phil Kemp Fly-In Director

This year again the number of volunteers stepping forward to help at the Fly-In has been disappointingly low. Even lower than in the recent past!
For those who have said yes to helping, I would like to give a big and sincere thank you.
However, no event like ours can be run without sufficient volunteer support and if we do not get enough helpers the future of of our Air-Britain Fly-In must be in question.
I am still 5 or 6 people below what I need this year to safely run the fly-In, without enough volunteers for key roles restrictions such as airside access may have to be curtailed or even stopped. I don't want to have to do that but we it may come to it.
If you can give some time on one day of the Fly-In please contact me and help us mark Air-Britain's 75th anniversary event with a Fly-in to reflect the great organisation we have. Phil Kemp Fly-In Director

Any pilots planning to planning to attend our Fly-In on 17 June please ensure you have checked the NOTAM related to the Trooping of the Colour flypast and plan accordingly.
For the public (some or all) the Trooping of the Colour flypast may pass close to White Waltham hence the pilots need to plan their flights. It also means we will have restricted movements at White Waltham for a short dedicated period. Air Britain has no control over where the flypast transits!
