The remarkable late Edwardian long distance pilot, author, test pilot and aviation administrator John Grierson with his DH60G G-AAJP photographed in July 1933 before the flight to Iceland. A decade later he would be test flying the Gloster E28/39. Central Press Association photos 783847 (20JUL33) and 784939 (14AUG33).

I remember seeing one of United Whalers' bright yellow-painted Walrus on a hard standing just by the Cowes Ferry 1947.
