I am pleased to announce that the new Archive files for December 2018 have been sent to the Webmaster and should shortly be available in the Members' section of the Air-Britain website.
The direct link is air-britain.com/web/ab-archive/
The articles are:
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 20 (medium resolution)
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 20 (high resolution)
The French Civil Aircraft Register from 1922 - F-AOPI to F-AOUK Yugoslav Register - YU-CKA to YU-CLZ
Unfortunately, author Dave Newnham has decided to withdraw the Rhodesian register material from the website, so the files will no longer be available to download. If you have queries about Rhodesian aviation, please contact Dave Newnham directly.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all contributors for their continuing efforts, and to wish all members a relaxing festive season and a productive 2019.

Hello Robert.
Thank you for the continuing Register Files.
Excuse me for appearing a bit stupid, but does this mean parts 8 & 9 of the Rhodesian register will disappear entirely off the website ?.
If so then the fears about putting things online versus paper or CD/DVD are beginning to be realised.
Kind regards
John Taylor

Hi John
Yes, I'm afraid it means exactly that, so download them now if you want them. Obviously it is the prerogative of an author to withdraw material from public view. It has always been the case that online material has vanished, for various reasons, and I always encourage people to download, back-up and keep anything of importance.

Does this also means there will be no more parts from Dave with regard to the civil side?
Cheers Stig

Hi Stig
Yes, I'm afraid it does. Anyone who would like the later part of the register data will need to contact Dave directly.

Robert
has Dave given any reason for withdrawing the work? Is there any problem that can be overcome?

Hi Pete
Yes, there is a reason, and I have tried to persuade him to relent, but to no avail. Maybe if enough people asked him he might change his mind?

At the risk of sounding like an old record, I note that it is now 24 days since Robert announced that "the new Archive files for December 2018 have been sent to the Webmaster and should shortly be available in the Members' section of the Air-Britain website."..... Andy

There has been a problem with the third-party provider who maintains the website. We are looking at alternatives and if anybody has experience with website we would like to hear from them on possible help.
