Apologies if this has been already mentioned somewhere (I so, I can't find it !) but when making a usual search for old owner details at: immat.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/immat/servlet/aeronef_liste.html
I received the response: "This aircraft being written off, the data relating to the owners are no longer communicated in application of the French legislation and the European legislation on data protection".
This seems to imply that GDPR has killed off a very useful source of owners/bases. Has this resource re-appeared under another URL or am I missing something vital ?
Many thanks in advance for responses

Apologies for contributing my two pennorth so tardily. The subject has been debated on a french forum which I use. The reason for the change was given as data protection legislation - as per your correct surmise, Bernard. However in that context, no-one could understand why such legislation and the DGAC should protect the data of former owners/operators of aircraft (many of whom now will be dead) but not current owners. It's the same dichotomy as exists between the French CDN/CDNR/CNRA registers (which are published and accessible online) and the départemental ULM registers (which are not published or accessible online). But that's France for you!
