Since closure, the airfield land has been sold and turned over to housing. However, Rolls-Royce have since initiated a policy of clearing its own history within the site. The four WWI hangars used by a local haulage company are protected (Grade Ii Listed) but nothing else is. It is R-R's intention to demolish almost all the remaining buildings.

Already gone is the Mustang hangar (left arrow) the Robin (centre) and the B1 (right) You would think that a re-clad and maintained B1 could be sold/donated, but it seems not.
All the site is to be cleared and sold except for the building with R-R script on the front, which is to remain an annexe to support the combuster facility (the modern building in the foreground) History eh.
