Taking advantage of extra time indoors, thought I'd resurrect my Epson V700 and scan some Kodakchrome slides. I've used the same settings in the software (VueScan64) as successfully used a couple of years ago, but the results are now disappointing to say the least, not being as bright as I think it should be, plus a dark band across the top of the scan. The original slides are in good condition with no discolouration. Any thoughts?

It's a long time since I played with Vuescan and my V800 comes with Epson software and 'Silverfast' Do you have any way of showing a result here? OR I'll PM you with my email address and you can email me one

Thanks, I'll try later today, the file is too big at the moment to post here. I think I've still got the SilverFast software that came with the scanner, so I'll give that a try too.

My Epson V600, which has always been on-and-off when it comes to scanning larger format 120, 220, 616 negatives, has gone over the edge since it was teamed up with a new iMac with 62 bit O.S.15 Catalina and the Epson Scan 2 software. Doesn't recognize borders for some negs, cuts off dark areas and chopped up 616 negs into several pieces although I fixed the last item. It's time for a new scanner, what to do. Should I be looking at the now rather old V700 which has more than a few bad reviews or the surely overpriced V850, has anyone experience using either of those with Mac O.S15 and Scan 2? There is a V750, too, how about that?
