As we approach this very busy time of year, matters are further complicated by the current restrictions that we find ourselves having to operate under again. I am only supported occasionally by Mark, all other sales staff are taking sensible precautions and isolating. So I am doing things slightly different to try and meet everyone’s expectations. As orders are required before Christmas, I am dealing with new book overseas orders as a priority, to try and ensure a timely delivery for our overseas members. After this, I then deal with the remaining new book orders within the UK and finally I will process any second-hand orders. The demand is more than capacity at present, by some margin, so there will be delays to some orders. I would ask every customer to ensure they order as early as possible to ensure delivery before Christmas, otherwise there is a risk of disappointment which I wish to avoid.
Please ensure that I have a valid telephone number and e-mail address to make contact with you should there be an issue with any order; this will save any unnecessary delay. I do not answer the phone even when working in the warehouse as I cannot afford to take the time out of processing the orders and please remember we no longer accept cheques as a means of payment. Please stay safe.
Our warehouse team have been working hard to get as many orders out into the postal system as possible. The team worked over the weekend and from 05:30 this morning and all orders are now completed. The only exception is the Trait d'Union book where we are currently out of stock with more due.
BUT - be aware - while we have got everything out of the door, postal systems in the UK are very slow in some areas, while parcels to Australia and NZ are held at an export depot due to lack of capacity.
(For some reason the photos get rotated when posting!)
