I am pleased to announce that the new Archive files for December 2020 are now available in the Members' section of the Air-Britain website.
The direct link is air-britain.com/web/ab-archive/
The articles are:
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 27 (medium resolution)
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 27 (high resolution)
The French Civil Aircraft Register from 1922 - F-APXX to F-AQAV
Yugoslav Register YU-CNA to YU-CNZ
We wish a fruitful 2021 to all members and readers!

While I am pleased to see that our ARCHIVE files are now available, can I reiterate my long-standing requests that such announcements should also include the DIRECT URL link to the Files page to make it easier for members.
As a McAfee user I also note that I have to turn off my PC Firewall temporarily to access the Files area via the Members Portal - this has still not been fixed.
Finally, when I eventually did access the Members Portal login, despite entering the correct username and Password, the Portal continued to ask for the Recaptcha box to be ticked WITHOUT giving me a box to tick ! Is this is new hiccup ?
Without sounding like a GOM, we were promised a "one-stop entry" portal a long time ago and STILL Files, Fora etc etc are scattered.
I am fully aware of the lack of PC experts in A-B, but it is getting tiresome
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all anyway !

Bernard
The issue of posting a direct url is pointless for those files, as you still have to go through the members sign-on before getting to those files.
I will prompt the web team about McAfee - we have already notified them but perhaps the Christmas break has slowed down their response.
I have just tried to sign-on to the Members Area and have not encountered the problem you describe, but will again report the issue you have.
As regards the movement of files into one area, things are moving, but slowly as there is only a small team and there are no other places we can put the proverbial broom.

A 'direct URL' is not at all pointless, unless I misunderstand what Bernard is asking for. In this case, it needs to be made into a direct 'link' (by adding the https:// at the beginning, or perhaps do something else to it?). Yes, whatever you do, you will have to sign-in somehow, but at least if there is a clickable 'link' it should take you directly to the sign-in page. As it is now, it is not a 'link' - you have to copy the URL from here, open a new page/tab, paste the link into the new tab, and then press enter. Not the end of the world, but still tedious, irritating and unnecessary. Thanks.

Phil: I agree with what you say. The sort of link that I meant was like www.air-britain.com/members/mo-pdfs/That takes you to our Members Area files directly and saves extra copy and pasting. - but I am just lazy !

Yes please always put a link to the relevant web-posting even if a sign-in is necessary . I always have to scratch my head and poke around trying to remember how to find the quarterly uploads ...this time I was looking for the recently mentioned USAF record cards, when I came across Robert Swan's new archive announcement, which which I would have missed otherwise..
