How much of the development of the crop spraying Auster was a result of the work carried out at Old Warden ?
Lady Shuttleworth and Wing Cdr. Alan Wheeler ran an engineering facility at Old Warden before the Collection as we now know it was formed and worked on an Auster 5 equipped for spraying.
The agricultural college existed before the first post war crop spraying aircraft appeared, so did the work at Old Warden have any influence on what Auster Aircraft did, bearing in mind they were aircraft manufacturers without any experience of agricultural requirements ?
