Milton Keynes Aviation Society presents "The North American Mustang" by Rod Dean.
The Mustang was designed and built to meet a request issued by the Royal Air Force for a fighter supplied from America. Popular speaker Rod Dean explains that the contract was issued direct to North American, not through the US Government, and the prototype was completed in only 102 days from contract signing – and flew nearly 8 weeks later.
The genesis of the outstanding Mustang and many other points will be fully explored in the talk which will focus on the technical development of the aircraft rather than its operational roles.
Venue: Kents Hill Community Centre, Frithwood Crescent, Kents Hill, Milton Keynes, MK7 6HQ. Doors open at 7.30 p.m. Tuesday 11th April and the lecture begins at 8.00 p.m.
Visitors are very welcome - £5.00 per head.
