Admittedly outside the scope of a LAP article but Beech Bonanzas were being airfreighted( into Northolt!) on the otherwise empty positioning flights of Transocean's DC-4 emigrant flights to Canada around 1947 ( some also into Stansted.... assembly at Croydon for some) From Aeroplane 7Nov47 Attachments:

As usual I enjoyed my browse. A couple of comments:
Page 110 - photo of Cessna 337 N102B N102B is regd as c/n 337-0024 (although the format should be 33700024 I think). It is a plain Cessna 337. The Peruvian Army machine EP-811 was c/n P3370024, a pressurized T.337G. Two different aircraft I think.
Page 116 The delivery date for Lebanese SM.79s LR-AMA and LR-AMB is given as 9 September 1949. In the table on Page 117 it is given as 19 September 1949. Which is correct?

The msn 337-0024 is correct. That was the format Cessna used in the 1960s. Ian
