I noticed in the latest Air-Britain books catalogue, (enclosed with the latest magazine), that there is a new Air-Britain magazines CD for 2009-2010. I have a few questions:
1. What was the reason for keeping the CD format, rather than a flash drive? I thought cost was a prohibiting factor for producing further CDs.
2. Are more magazine CDs planned in the near future? How soon?
3. Why hasn't ABN been added to the online digital archive yet? All recent ABNs were produced digitally, so there shouldn't be a problem with adding the last 10 years at least.
4. Will there be more book CDs to cover titles released during 1981-2021?
5. What is the overall strategy for releasing Air-Britain digitised material, in terms of outlet media, material and rough timescales? Some idea of the overall plan would be helpful, before I get into scanning my own books and ABNs.
Thanks for any answers on this. I have all the existing CDs and will be ordering this new one.

1. What was the reason for keeping the CD format, rather than a flash drive? I thought cost was a prohibiting factor for producing further CDs. - commonality with previous editions 2. Are more magazine CDs planned in the near future? How soon? - depends on how well this sells
3. Why hasn't ABN been added to the online digital archive yet? All recent ABNs were produced digitally, so there shouldn't be a problem with adding the last 10 years at least. - no current plans to put ABN onto the digital archive
4. Will there be more book CDs to cover titles released during 1981-2021? - no plans at present
5. What is the overall strategy for releasing Air-Britain digitised material, in terms of outlet media, material and rough timescales? Some idea of the overall plan would be helpful, before I get into scanning my own books and ABNs. - as above we will see how well 2009-10 sells before considering further issues. We remain committed to a paper version of our magazines, as that is what is preferred by the majority of our members.
