We are delighted to announce that for our 2024 annual Fly-In we will be working in partnership with the Private Flyer team and Wycombe Air Park. The Fly-In will be an integral part of the Private Flyer Fest www.privateflyershow.com/uk/ being held at Wycombe Air Park on Friday/Saturday 17-18 May 2024. This arrangement will see Air-Britain at the best general aviation trade show in the UK. Air-Britain members will be able to get significantly discounted tickets, only available via the on-line ticketing portal, visiting pilots for the A-B Fly-In will get discounted landing/ticket fees. We will have a dedicated area for AB visitors to meet and gather and our sales stand will have all the latest AB annual publications, new and second-hand books available to you earlier in the year than previous Fly-Ins. The members’ discounted priced E-tickets will require a specific order code which will be issued shortly through our magazines, Message Board and email, yet again another great reason for joining Air-Britain. More information about the event will be published as we move towards the event. 2024 Poster-4 241Kb.pdf (240.71 KB) Phil Kemp Fly-In Director

Each year Air-Britain invites owners to join us with their aircraft that have a particular milestone or anniversary. This year there are three de Havilland related first flight anniversaries for the Puss Moth (95th), Hornet Moth & Rapide (90th) we would like to mark. In addition Air-Britain with be publishing and launching at the event the definitive book on De Havilland Cabins Moths authored by Stuart McKay, founder of the DH Moth Club. It is therefore fitting that we would like to gather as many Cabin Moths at Wycombe as possible to mark these events.
Invites have been sent to all airworthy Cabin Moth owners and to date we have have at least 10 owners indicating an intention to attend. Obviously the aircraft serviceability and the weather will determine which day or days days they attend.
In addition to the de Havilland anniversaries it is 65 years since the first flight of the Beech 33 (Debonair/Bonanza). Invites have been issues to owners of UK based Beech 33s to join us and a number have responded positively. The European Bonanza Society have been approached but to date have not responded to our invite.
All aircraft are welcome at the Air-Britain Fly-In, be they vintage or more modern. Those attending the Air-Britain Fly-In should book their PPR slot through the Private Flyer portal (https://fly.privateflyershow.com/book/london/ ). Pilots booking should use the promo code PF24005 for discounted landing fees for the Air-Britain Fly-In.

I am pleased to be able to confirm that there will be access to the visiting aircraft park at Wycombe this year on both days.
The park will be open between 12.00 and 14.00 each day. However we do reserve the right to adjust those times for operational purposed and without pre-warning. Not all of the aircraft park will be open and the extent of area to be opened will be decided on the day, taking into account operational and safety requirements.
