I am pleased to announce that the new Archive files for December 2019 have been sent to the Webmaster and should shortly be available in the Members' section of the Air-Britain website.
The direct link is air-britain.com/web/ab-archive/
The articles are:
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 24 (medium resolution)
The West German Civil Aircraft Register from 1955 - Part 24 (high resolution)
The French Civil Aircraft Register from 1922 - F-APFB to F-APJK
I would like to wish all readers a relaxing festive season.

Robert:
As I say almost every Quarter, it would be far more useful to publish these announcements AFTER the articles have actually been uploaded and are available. It might seem "picky", but it is yet another irritating feature to already hard-pressed members (I also still think that we were "short-changed" with what actually appears now in AvWorld for ex-ARCHIVE & AEROMILITARIA subscribers) to have to regularly enter the Members' Area to check on availability - it is NOT a one-click operation.
This is no reflection on you or the content providers and I join you in wishing all members the best for the so-called Festive Season, but PLEASE can our Trustees make a New Year resolution to not only listen to what the members require (and expect) and provide the infrastructure that we need - even if it costs money to buy-in an IT service (no reflection on Ian Sparkes who obviously does what he can as a volunteer).
Also I still shudder each time I see New Member attached to my postings despite having been one since 1956 !

Totally agree! I am another one of those who ends up checking every day for the (sometimes) two or three weeks it takes for the material to be uploaded - a waste of my time. I must emphasise that I am NOT complaining about the time it takes to upload, but as Bernard says, can the announcement please be made AFTER the articles go on line. All it would take is the webmaster telling the provider when it has been uploaded so the announcement can be made... Andy

Apologies! Message received. I will in future wait and see when the files have actually appeared before making the announcement....

Wouldn't it work better if the webmaster announced when new material has been added...on ABIX and the Proboards forum with a clickable link?

Remember that any clickable link would only work if you were already signed into the members area, as these files are in that section reserved for members only.

Replied direct to Barrie to avoid sharing e-mail addresses.
Just a reminder to all - if you were on AB-IX on Yahoo then your access was automatically transferred to AB-IX@Groups.IO. Log in to access the messages.

One note on the German Civil Register Part 24:
D-COCO - I think this was "new" c/n ES.8505, not ES-9505 as listed (irrespective of what it was actually registered as). Also, looking at the post-German history, I don't think it has anything to do with N233MB, which is based on VZ351, the former D-CEDO.

I agree with Andy
All second hand sources I have seen also only quote ES.8505
Misprint?
