I'm looking for any information on the Piper Cherokees operated by the British Airways Flying Club at Booker in the late '60s/early '70s. Registrations, liveries, etc. Any photos would be especially useful.
Thanks in advance

Thanks - I suspect, given the dates, that the aircraft would have been wearing one of the above liveries. I take it that the registration is a custom one applied for the anniversary, rather than a reproduction of an original?

G-SIXT is currently registered to AIRWAYS AERO ASSOCIATIONS LTD which I think is another name for the British Airways Flying Club

G-SIXT did (maybe still does) wear different retro liveries on each side, celebrating the two airlines associated with the original clubs.

Second attempt ! It would appear that the Drafts Save feature had not been enabled. I will try and recall what I said !
I recommend that "parns" obtains a copy of member Darren Pitcher's WYCOMBE AIR PARK - BOOKER - A PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY where on Page 44+ details of the Airways Flying Club (officially Airways Aero Associations Ltd can be found with pix of many of the fleet over the years. The PA-28s of the era for which details are sought include G-ATOK, G-ATOO, G-ATUB/C/D etc and later included G-BLEJ/G-EGLL, G-BSXX/G-SIXT, G-BXNK/G-OWAP, G-BSVF, G-BSVG, G-BNCR, G-BODR. Use the Search facility on G-INFO and it will also include Booker Aircraft Leasing, which is the current trading name.
What I also said, was that it may not be compulsory to add a name at the end of a posting, but it would be a common courtesy so to do, if only to reflect the original aim when A-B was formed that it was an association of like-minded enthusiasts, even if we are now a formal Limited Company administered by Trustees.
Hopefully this message will now appear c/w my own sigfile !

Well, all this is very encouraging. Plenty of leads here. It seems as if the book is unfortunately OOP, but Darren Pitcher has a Facebook page, so I will try and contact him through that.
Thanks for the help thus far,
Gavin
